Suppliers and Sub Contractors
As a valued supplier or sub contractor we wish to pass on our requirements in relation to our building sites whilst Coronavirus remains a health risk.
We are following advice from the Scottish and UK governments, health authorities and experts very closely and adopting their latest guidance.
This information is designed to keep you up-to-date with the latest steps we are taking as well as offering some guidance on what you can do to minimise the spread of the Coronavirus.
As a business, we are taking a number of steps to minimise the risk for all concerned:
- Meetings, where possible, are being conducted over the telephone or video call.
- Where face-to-face meetings are necessary, these are being held at the recommended minimum distance, with no handshake greetings.
- Enhanced hygiene measures have been put in place on site
We have an expectation that your business has a COVID19 Policy in compliance with UK Government recommendations, which has been communicated to your personnel and conveys the controls in place to prevent the spread of the virus.
Please be prepared to comply with our current site controls that have now been put in place:
- Agree that your site visit is necessary – if not, please rearrange
- Provide Travel History on arrival – retreating from site if necessary
- Hand-washing and anti bacterial wipes to be used whilst on site
- Always cover your mouth with a tissue, sleeve or flexed elbow when coughing or sneezing
- On-set of viral symptoms during your visit – follow Government protocols to self isolate
We’re sure you’re already practicing these procedures as a matter of course but you’ll appreciate these precautions are necessary to protect others within the workplace.
Continuity of service
We will do all within our power to continue works on site but we are mindful of the changing situation and potential restrictions. Please be aware that we may be operating with reduced staff/resources and some circumstances may be outwith our control, so your patience and understanding would be appreciated
