Planners approve major housing development

It’s important at DJ Laing that we give back to the local community which has been such a huge part of our success and we intend to continue that local support as we move forward.
After submitting a planning application in April 2015, D J Laing Homes is delighted to receive Planning consent for Phase 1 of their new housing development at Aberlady Crescent, Dundee.
This initial phase will provide twenty six 2, 3 and 4 bedroom homes as part of the overall development of the site with up to 96 new private homes.
D J Laing previously built 220 new homes at the neighbouring site at Ballumbie Braes. Their homes have been redesigned to produce a unique style for homeowners to enjoy with modern methods of construction.
Local councillor Brian Gordon said the development would help Whitfield “thrive again”. He said: “It is great to see — Whitfield is a totally different place. The infrastructure is there — we have Aberlady Crescent and all the different community groups, new roads, new schools and new shops. We are now looking forward to the future of the area”.
